There are currently over 500 BMX tracks operating in the United States.  The average BMX family spends upwards of $500 per month, per rider, on BMX alone.  Families are extremely loyal to BMX and the sponsors that support it.

Major BMX sponsors include Disney, American Suzuki, Nike, Gatorade, and Dow Chemical.

A BMX track in our community provides local youth an exciting action sport to participate in. The newest Olympic sport is open to all ages, male and female and offers a large number of racing classes and skill proficiencies.  There are no tryouts, and no one sits on the bench.

The Austin area had a BMX track for over 30 years before losing the land to an apartment developer.  After a three year hiatus, BMX is back in Austin, thanks in great part to our sponsors and the many volunteers that built and maintain the track.

A BMX Track enhances a community both economically and socially. BMX Racing provides a safe and challenging sport for kids of all ages, male and female alike, benefiting the community by keeping youth involved in a positive, healthy environment that promotes family bonding and safe competition. Developing a vacant lot into a play destination for the kids and their families increases the value of our community and adds new economic benefits.   Additionally, several major races each year bring hundreds of BMX families to our community, which provides an additional economic boost to area businesses.
